Privacy policy
This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have. It is written in plain language on purpose.
Data we collect
- Account data: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the name and profile identifier Google returns.
- CV content: everything you type into a CV or cover letter, and any photo you upload.
- Usage data: counters for assistant requests, plan status, and basic technical logs needed to keep the service running and secure.
How your CV data is protected
CV content and uploaded photos are private to your account. Database access rules allow only your own signed-in session to read or change your rows, and photos are stored in a private bucket that is not publicly listable. We do not publish, sell or share your CV with employers, recruiters or advertisers.
AI processing
When you ask the assistant to improve a section or draft a cover letter, the text of that section is sent to our AI provider through our server to generate the suggestion. The request is limited to the text needed for the task and is not used to build a public profile of you. The assistant is instructed and constrained to rewrite only what you wrote, without inventing facts.
Cookies and advertising
We use cookies and local storage that are necessary to keep you signed in and remember your language choice. On the free plan and for visitors, pages may show ads served by Google AdSense, which may use cookies or device identifiers to measure and personalise advertising according to Google’s own policies. Subscribers see no ads and no advertising script is loaded for them. You can opt out of personalised advertising in your Google ad settings, and control cookies in your browser.
Retention, export and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. From your profile page you can export all of your content, and permanently delete your account together with every CV, cover letter, version snapshot and photo. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Backups age out within 30 days.
Your rights
If you are in the EU or EEA you have the right to access, correct, export, restrict and erase your personal data, and to object to certain processing. The self-service tools cover most of this; for anything else write to privacy@mycvcreatorpro.app.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that affects you, we will show a notice in the app before the change takes effect.
